The Operahuset is architecture as landscape. From a distance, across the water it resembles an iceberg and encourages viewer engagement by allowing people to walk all over the structure.
What I love is how well it plays with the different qualities of light on both the intimate micro-scale as well as the big picture. To see up close go to
Dutchbaby.
Lovely! Strange! In its place! Want to see inside and from the inside looking out!
ReplyDeletePatrick,
ReplyDeleteThis morning I was responding to a comment on my Operahuset post when I saw your link here. Thank you very much for the shout-out!
Visiting this stunning opera house was one of my fondest memories from our trip to Norway.
Barbarak,
My blogger friend Ginnie just published a post on the same topic, including a back stage look.
